大數(shù)據(jù)主要有三個來源。首先是互聯(lián)網(wǎng)特別是社交網(wǎng)絡(luò)產(chǎn)生的海量信息；其次是大的科學工程早就產(chǎn)生了大數(shù)據(jù)，比如說“上帝離子”研究中產(chǎn)生的大量科學數(shù)據(jù)；再者是新的技術(shù)催生了很多大數(shù)據(jù)。我們國家從政府層面號召廣大科研工作者對大數(shù)據(jù)進行研究，很多企業(yè)也非常積極。大數(shù)據(jù)的真正消費者是網(wǎng)民，技術(shù)基礎(chǔ)是互聯(lián)網(wǎng)。

大數(shù)據(jù)實際上給技術(shù)人員帶來了很多挑戰(zhàn)。我們應該在整個生命周期中研究大數(shù)據(jù)，包括采集、傳輸、處理、應用。大數(shù)據(jù)有很多安全問題，我們提倡用大數(shù)據(jù)說話，不要執(zhí)迷于大數(shù)據(jù)。我們既要分析大數(shù)據(jù)，但不能過分解讀?？茖W研究具有兩面性，不要牽強附會找各種關(guān)系，既要重視關(guān)系但不要過分去解讀這個關(guān)系。有人希望在大數(shù)據(jù)之間搞某種聯(lián)系，通過量化方式對其解釋，這種量化經(jīng)常有很多不全面的因素?？偟目磥?，用好大數(shù)據(jù)，能維護國家安全，促進政府信息開放，提高決策準確性，推動人類經(jīng)濟社會發(fā)展。
