有部分同學(xué)，在學(xué)習(xí)初期，會(huì)認(rèn)為下采樣和池化是指同樣的事情，只是叫法不同而已，其實(shí)這是一種錯(cuò)誤的認(rèn)知。

下采樣（subsampled），或稱為降采樣（downsampled），指縮小圖像。其主要目是使得圖像符合顯示區(qū)域的大小，生成對(duì)應(yīng)圖像的縮略圖。

而池化（Pooling）則是卷積神經(jīng)網(wǎng)絡(luò)中一個(gè)重要的概念，它是降采樣的一種形式。它會(huì)壓縮輸入的特征圖，一方面減少了特征，導(dǎo)致了參數(shù)減少，進(jìn)而簡(jiǎn)化了卷積網(wǎng)絡(luò)計(jì)算時(shí)的復(fù)雜度；另一方面保持了特征的某種不變性（旋轉(zhuǎn)、平移、伸縮等）。

池化的方法：

max-pooling：對(duì)鄰域內(nèi)特征點(diǎn)取最大值；

mean-pooling：對(duì)鄰域內(nèi)特征點(diǎn)求平均。

池化的作用：

降維，減少網(wǎng)絡(luò)要學(xué)習(xí)的參數(shù)數(shù)量；

防止過(guò)擬合；

擴(kuò)大感受野；

實(shí)現(xiàn)不變性（平移、旋轉(zhuǎn)、尺度不變性）


關(guān)于池化的解釋：

池化 = 漲水


池化的過(guò)程 = 升高水位（擴(kuò)大矩陣網(wǎng)格）


池化的目的是為了得到物體的邊緣形狀。

下采樣和池化應(yīng)該是包含關(guān)系，池化屬于下采樣，而下采樣不局限于池化，如果卷積 stride=2，此時(shí)也可以把這種卷積叫做下采樣。
