大數(shù)據(jù)虛擬現(xiàn)實(shí)挑戰(zhàn)走進(jìn)VR數(shù)據(jù)庫


今年年初著名游戲制作商EpicGames和TheWellcomeTrust（全球慈善基金組織）聯(lián)手主辦“大數(shù)據(jù)虛擬現(xiàn)實(shí)挑戰(zhàn)賽（TheBigDataVRChallenge）”。該比賽的任務(wù)是開發(fā)者利用虛擬現(xiàn)實(shí)技術(shù)在大量的數(shù)據(jù)里找到一種直觀的方式去演示數(shù)據(jù)之間的交互作用和聯(lián)系。專注從事虛擬現(xiàn)實(shí)研究的HammerheadVR工作室開發(fā)了一個(gè)基因組瀏覽器站點(diǎn)——TheGenomeBrowser。該團(tuán)隊(duì)沒有在比賽中勝出，但是它發(fā)布了一個(gè)可視化的360度全景視頻。

TheGenomeBrowser使用基金會(huì)桑格研究所（theWellcomeSangerInstitute）生成的數(shù)據(jù)集，研究人員可以瀏覽和立體觀看使大規(guī)模的表觀基因組路線圖。識(shí)別統(tǒng)計(jì)分析基因組數(shù)據(jù)之間的相關(guān)性，然后加快可視化數(shù)據(jù)創(chuàng)新的腳步。

該360全景VR視頻可以通過兼容的瀏覽器觀看，并且可以通過鼠標(biāo)或者WASD鍵控制。另外它還可以通過智能手機(jī)下載YouTube應(yīng)用程序體驗(yàn)。如果你擁有谷歌紙盒或者三星的虛擬現(xiàn)實(shí)頭盔GearVR，你也可以通過YouTube應(yīng)用程序觀看以便有沉浸式的體驗(yàn)。

“大數(shù)據(jù)VR挑戰(zhàn)賽“的勝利者是LumaPie，LumaPie由創(chuàng)意工作室MastersofPie和三維軟件開發(fā)咨詢公司Lumacode聯(lián)合組成。數(shù)據(jù)方面是采用ALSPAC研究90年代的兒童狀況數(shù)據(jù)。
