大數(shù)據(jù)分析服務(wù)公司Hortonworks完成5000萬(wàn)美元融資

     今日，大數(shù)據(jù)分析服務(wù)公司Hortonworks在其官方博客上宣布已完成一輪 5000 萬(wàn)美元的融資，領(lǐng)投的是新加入的投資機(jī)構(gòu) Tenaya Capital、Dragoneer Investment Group。另外，之前的投資機(jī)構(gòu) Benchmark Capital、Index Ventures 與雅虎也有參投。


Hortonworks 是一家基于 Hadoop 框架（一個(gè)能對(duì)大量數(shù)據(jù)進(jìn)行分布式處理的軟件框架）提供大數(shù)據(jù)服務(wù)的公司。該公司算得上是名門(mén)之后，2011 年 7 月由雅虎與硅谷風(fēng)投 Benchmark Capital 合資組建。不僅如此，公司成立之初還吸納了近 30 名雅虎專(zhuān)門(mén)研究 Hadoop 的元老級(jí)工程師，雅虎 Hadoop 開(kāi)發(fā)團(tuán)隊(duì)負(fù)責(zé)人 Eric Baldeschwieler 則出任 Hortonworks 的 CEO。


去年 6 月，該公司與微軟合作正式發(fā)布了基于 Hadoop 的大數(shù)據(jù)分析平臺(tái) HDP（Hortonworks Data Platform）。而在今年 2 月，該公司又發(fā)布了 Windows 版 HDP，這標(biāo)志著 Hortonworks 的大數(shù)據(jù)分析技術(shù)能同時(shí)應(yīng)用于 Linux 與 Windows 兩大平臺(tái)。另外，Hortonworks 公司還被認(rèn)為是 Hadoop 2.0、Apache Hadoop Yarn 的主要貢獻(xiàn)者，而后兩者被認(rèn)為將是下一代 Hadoop 平臺(tái)。
