數(shù)據(jù)湖或hub的概念最初是由大數(shù)據(jù)廠商提出的，表面上看，數(shù)據(jù)都是承載在基于可向外擴(kuò)展的HDFS廉價(jià)存儲(chǔ)硬件之上的。但數(shù)據(jù)量越大，越需要各種不同種類(lèi)的存儲(chǔ)。最終，所有的企業(yè)數(shù)據(jù)都可以被認(rèn)為是大數(shù)據(jù)，但并不是所有的企業(yè)數(shù)據(jù)都是適合存放在廉價(jià)的HDFS集群之上的。

數(shù)據(jù)湖是一個(gè)存儲(chǔ)企業(yè)的各種各樣原始數(shù)據(jù)的大型倉(cāng)庫(kù)，其中的數(shù)據(jù)可供存取、處理、分析及傳輸。數(shù)據(jù)湖從企業(yè)的多個(gè)數(shù)據(jù)源獲取原始數(shù)據(jù)，并且針對(duì)不同的目的，同一份原始數(shù)據(jù)還可能有多種滿(mǎn)足特定內(nèi)部模型格式的數(shù)據(jù)副本。因此，數(shù)據(jù)湖中被處理的數(shù)據(jù)可能是任意類(lèi)型的信息，從結(jié)構(gòu)化數(shù)據(jù)到完全非結(jié)構(gòu)化數(shù)據(jù)。

數(shù)據(jù)湖特征：

2、可以在不需要另外移動(dòng)數(shù)據(jù)的情況下進(jìn)行數(shù)據(jù)計(jì)算

目前，Hadoop是最常用的部署數(shù)據(jù)湖的技術(shù)，所以很多人會(huì)覺(jué)得數(shù)據(jù)湖就是Hadoop集群。但未來(lái)總會(huì)有新的技術(shù)出現(xiàn)，因此我們要區(qū)分出Hadoop和數(shù)據(jù)湖的不同點(diǎn)。數(shù)據(jù)湖是一個(gè)概念，而Hadoop是用于實(shí)現(xiàn)這個(gè)概念的技術(shù)。

數(shù)據(jù)湖與數(shù)據(jù)倉(cāng)庫(kù)的區(qū)別：

1、數(shù)據(jù)湖：能處理所有類(lèi)型的數(shù)據(jù)，如結(jié)構(gòu)化數(shù)據(jù)，非結(jié)構(gòu)化數(shù)據(jù)、半結(jié)構(gòu)化數(shù)據(jù)等，數(shù)據(jù)的類(lèi)型依賴(lài)于數(shù)據(jù)源系統(tǒng)的原始數(shù)據(jù)格式。

數(shù)據(jù)倉(cāng)庫(kù)：只能對(duì)結(jié)構(gòu)化數(shù)據(jù)進(jìn)行處理，而且這些數(shù)據(jù)必須與數(shù)據(jù)倉(cāng)庫(kù)事先定義的模型吻合。

2、數(shù)據(jù)湖：擁有足夠強(qiáng)的計(jì)算能力用于處理和分析所有類(lèi)型的數(shù)據(jù)，分析后的數(shù)據(jù)會(huì)被存儲(chǔ)起來(lái)供用戶(hù)使用。

數(shù)據(jù)倉(cāng)庫(kù)：處理結(jié)構(gòu)化數(shù)據(jù)，將他們或者轉(zhuǎn)換為多維數(shù)據(jù)，或者轉(zhuǎn)換為報(bào)表，以滿(mǎn)足后續(xù)的高級(jí)報(bào)表以及數(shù)據(jù)分析需求。

3、數(shù)據(jù)湖：數(shù)據(jù)湖通常包含更多的相關(guān)信息，這些信息被訪問(wèn)的概率很高，并且能夠?yàn)槠髽I(yè)挖掘新的運(yùn)營(yíng)需求。
